The following instructions should prove a useful guide for basic use of your Online Shop.

To use your 'Shop Manager' you must first log in to your site management system, and then navigate to the 'Shop Manager'.

You should add your Categories before attempting to add products.

1. From the top menu of the 'Shop Manager', click the 'Products' button / tab, then 'Add Product' button from the drop-down menu (as illustrated below, and highlighted by the red arrow)
   

   
2. On the first 'tab' (which is labelled 'Product Information') fill in the following fields:

   1. 'SKU' – this is your products 'reference code', 'product ID' or 'serial number'
   2. Name – the name of the product
   3. Product Price – The amount you are charging for this product
   4. VAT Id – Select your tax rate if applicable
   5. Short Description – A brief description
   6. Long Description – This can be the same as your short description if you like
   7. Categories – Select the Category this product belongs in.

3. Click on the 'Product Status' tab as illustrated below [Figure 8], and highlighted by the red arrow
   
   
4. Enter the number of products you have in stock in the 'In Stock' field (this will be the first field on this 'tab')
   
   NOTE: This step is not necessary if you are not using your store to track stock levels
5. Click on the 'Product Dimensions and Weight tab as illustrated below [Figure 9], and highlighted by the red arrow
   
6. Enter the product Weight and Dimensions.  In most cases, you will need to change the field that says “inches” to “centimetres”, and the field that says “pounds” to kilograms
7. Click on the 'Product Images' tab as illustrated below [Figure 10], and highlighted by the red arrow
   
8. Add an image for the product.  The process is similar to adding images for you Categories.  To add your image, follow the following steps:
   NOTE: You should make sure your images are already resized to no larger than 600 X 600 pixels, and look best when they are all set to the same aspect ratio.
   1. Select your image by browsing for the image file on your hard drive.
   2. Click 'Auto-Create Thumbnail' if not automatically  selected
9. Click the 'Save' button to save the New Product to your Online Shop as illustrated below [Figure 11] and highlighted by the red arrow
   
10. Repeat these steps to add more products
